So, This week I was told to drop down to 1800 calories. Sounds like no big deal. Ummm, one thing: I was on a 3,000 calorie diet for over 6 months!! I finally found out what hungry feels like. When you’re as active as me (Army PT 3x a week, training 6x week, cardio 7x week twice daily) 1800 calories gets burned before most of you even wake up to start the day. It has taken me all week to realize that I truly love eating what I want and not caring about the macros cause I was doing okay. In fact I still think I’m doing okay.
Well I learned great things about myself during this week. I’m extremely irritable on an 1800 calorie diet. I wish everyday was a cheat meal day. My energy level SUCKS!! I’m always tired. I’ve been described as “hangry” on more than one occasion this week. Oh the list goes on.
I failed to balance my diet. Opps!! So in this upcoming week, I will do better. I shall start with the fact that a bowl of oatmeal in the morning keeps my attitude in check until lunch time. If I don’t eat my oatmeal, oh! heads will roll! No doubt. Also, adding in my Herbalife nutritional shake as my morning and afternoon snack keeps me at a happy balance and I stay within my caloric intake.
